When Jamie and Chris Chandler married in September 2011, it was a fairy-tale dream come true. The Disney-themed ceremony in Lake Saint Louis' Boulevard Park was featured on both Lake Saint Louis Patch and O'Fallon Patch.

But now, 18 month later, the story of the Chandlers' wedding has taken on a new life, going viral on the World Wide Web after pictures from the wedding appeared on the wedding blog The Knot: What Did This Princess-Ariel Inspired Bride Use to Brush Her Hair?
The wedding then appeared on BuzzFeed on Jan. 30: The Most Insanely Detailed Disney-Themed Wedding Ever.
Then on Yahoo news on Feb. 4: This Couple Rally Really Loves Disney.
On Today.com, on Feb. 5: Princess Bride: Over-the-Top Disney Wedding a Viral Hit.
On io9.com, a science fiction website: This is the most impressive Disney princess wedding we've ever seen, on Feb. 6.
Then on the Huffington Post on Feb. 7: Disney Wedding: Jamie and Christopher Chandler Throw Over-the-Top Disney-Themed Wedding.
And on the website of radio station 93.7 The Bull: Disney Princess Wedding.
On Feb. 7, the story went international, appearing on the website of the London Daily Mail: The ultimate fairytale ending? Disney fanatics tie the knot dressed as Ariel and her Prince Charming.
The couple has even had to set up a separate email account just for emails about the wedding.
Patch asked Jamie's father, Bill Blanke of O'Fallon, how his daughter was handling the media frenzy about her themed wedding.
"It's something that just came out of the blue," Blanke said. "They're glad that they are getting to share it with everyone."
But there is a downside, Blanke said. Internet "trolls" have been busy in the comments sections of the wedding stories. "Some of them have been pretty nasty," he said. It wasn't easy for his daughter to deal with, he said, buts she's managed to move past it.
Jamie and Chris are currently making arrangements for two television appearances. It's a very exciting time for them, and also a little overwhelming.
"This has been the strangest week of my entire life," she said.
