Polo Match Raised Funds for Therapeutic Horsemanship

When it come to raising funds for a horse-based therapy program, what better way than through a polo match?

The recent ninth annual Grapes on the Grass wine tasting and polo match raised funds for -based .

The nonprofit provides horseback riding as therapy for those with autism, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, post-traumatic stress disorder and other conditions.

TH, which was founded in 1975, benefits more than 200 patients annually—the majority are children (87 percent.) A major goal of the fundraiser is aiding more in joining the program, TH Director Monica Marsh said.

The polo match was accompanied by wine tastings for adults, and food, crafts and pony rides for families.
