Stargazing Every Friday Night at Broemmelsiek Park

St. Charles County Parks Department offers free educational program.

St. Charles County — The St. Charles County Parks Department is again teaming up with the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri (ASEM) to present weekly public star shows in 2012.

Every Friday night at the Astronomy Viewing Area of residents can discover different constellations and stars through complex telescopes.

Weather permitting, the viewing through state-of-the-art telescopes begins at dark and usually last a couple of hours. Individuals and groups are welcome to participate in this free, educational program.

Advanced registration is requested for large groups planning to attend an event.

The ASEM is a family oriented astronomy club designed to make astronomy fun. Members range in age from 8 to 80 and offer beginning to expert astronomy knowledge.
