Strut for Strays Raises Funds for Local Humane Organization

Participants enjoyed contests, demonstrations and vendor booths along with sloppy kisses and wagging tails.

A morning rain didn't keep the canines from coming to Strut for Strays Sept. 17 at Quail Ridge Park.

The event was a dog walk fundraiser for Heartland Humane Society of Missouri, and included pet contests, vendor displays, raffles, and dog event demonstrations.

The contests gave the pups the chance to demonstrate their ability as most talented, best kisser, and best talker. Another contest chose best owner and dog look-alikes.
