If you're into sports, you must love this time of year. Baseball's heading into the playoffs, and we'll be following our beloved River City Rascals. This morning we posted a for Ah, high school football—doesn't it bring back memories?

Today's Food 101 column from Michelle Blodget is, I think, her revenge for me saying I wouldn't eat sushi. Just kidding, of course. There's a lot of good information in her story today. Take a look.

Triathlon is coming this weekend! Patch is sending a sports reporter to cover the event, and many Patches in our area will be posting stories about athletes from their towns.

I'm still looking for help with two national Patch initiatives—telling local stories about people who have found unusual or interesting ways to deal with the economy, and people whose lives have been changes by the aftermath of the events on Sept. 11, 2001.
