We had a great piece run earlier this morning about a resident who moved here 29 years ago after competing in the Triathlon and realizing that Lake Saint Louis was where she wanted to be. It's a great lead-in to this weekend's events, thanks to freelancer writer Jason Young.
Did you ever want to invent a sandwich? We'll be running a story later today about sandwich contest. I'm issuing a challenge here and now: someone needs to come up with a sandwich with a lake or Lake Saint Louis theme. What would something called "The Pontoon" look like, I wonder?

This day in history, courtesy of History.com: In 1991, Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev faced a coup and demands for his resignation by members of his own administration and military. Russian president Boris Yeltsin helped fight the coup, and ended up in power when Gorbachev did indeed resign in December.
