It's been a week for concerts. Tonight's is at Boulevard Park, the fourth in the Lake Saint Louis Parks Summer Concert Series. It features Scott Laythem and Karl "Trickee" Holmes, and starts at 7 p.m.

, and you'll see by the title that we had an unusual incident July 11, a hit-and-run that caused minor injuries to a pedestrian. I always see people walking dogs, running and riding bikes in Lake Saint Louis—it's a great way to appreciate our beautiful city—but please, be careful out there!

Today in history, courtesy of History.com: In 2003, Jessica Lynch, a US Army private, was welcomed home after several months as a prisoner of war in Iraq. The convoy Lynch was riding with had been ambused and 11 Americans died. Lynch was among five soldiers who were captured.
