You've had your first cup of coffee; now relax with the second one and find out what's up for the day.

Good morning, Lake Saint Louis.

If you're a daytime Patch reader, you may not have seen the news that . We'll be adding to that story today.

It's Tuesday, so we'll have another great gardening column from Peggy Bahrmasel. She'll tell us about the garden of the month, and also about some projects that the garden club has taken on.

I'll also have a Viewfinder photo gallery of the last Friday. Mayor Mike Potter spoke, and I talked to Alderman Ralph Sidebottom a bit. It was good to see the "big" checks Walmart was giving out to some very deserving local organizations.

I'm working on a couple of other things for the day—more Health Department restaurant/food service scores, for one. I'm also writing up a story about Lake Saint Louis new boating club, the Good Samaritan Pleasure Boating Club.

Today in history: The US Constitution became the law of the land after New Hampshire became the ninth of the 13 colonies to vote for ratification on June 21, 1789. (Rhode Island was the last to ratify the constitution, delaying until May of 1790.)
