We've got a couple of exciting events happening today, and we're trying something new here in the St. Charles-St. Louis Patches.
First, we've teamed up with the Philadelphia-area Patches to . The chat room opens at 7 p.m., and you'll have the chance to post your thoughts about the game as it's happening.

I'm planning to attend both chats, as this is a new feature at Patch and I'm really curious to see how it goes. (I just hope I don't mix up my comments as I post.)

It's Friday, and the police blotter is up. We're also going to be posting the first of a new Friday column called One Tank Trips, with some great ideas for a day trip that's far enough to feel like a bit of a vacation, but not so far that you have to deal with a lot of expense or vacation anxiety.
