It was a busy weekend. On Saturday, I helped out at the , where Patch was a sponsor. I had a great time handing out balloons to kids, and we only got a spinkle or two—Kathy Schweikert told me that out here, you all got drenched!
On Sunday, I covered the . Lake Saint Louis has so much to be proud of—not just that we put on such moving ceremonies, but also that they are so well attended. Like the Memorial Day ceremony, hundred of people brought out their lawn chairs and applauded and sang and prayed. The organizers deserve a big thank you for making it happen.

Today in history, courtesy of History.com:In 1940, the Lascaux cave paintings were discovered in France by a group of teenagers. The paintings, which included representations of deer, cats and horses date to the Paleolithic period.
