This Year's Fireworks Longer, and Set to Music

This year's display in Lake Saint Louis will be nearly ten minutes longer than last year's.

Lake Saint Louis' Independence Day fireworks display promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Sponsored by the Ambassadors, as they have for the past 30 years, the fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m. Monday night. This year, the pyrotechnics will be accompanied by a musical score, which onlookers can hear by tuning to 90.1 on their FM radio. The very first song of the evening, at the beginning of the display, will be sung by the third grade choir from Green Tree Elementary School.

The fireworks are launched from the road near the dam, on the north side of town. The display will be almost ten minutes longer than last year's 18-minute display.

The display is funded by donations from residents and businesses, as well as the fund-raising efforts of events like the Annual Golf Classic.
