Today at the Fair: Lambs, Rabbits and Little Miss/Mister

Lake Saint Louis Patch brings you a look at today's activities at the St. Charles County Fair.

The Little Mister and Miss St. Charles County Fair competition is one of tonight's headline events at the St. Charles County Fair. Lake Saint Louis Patch will bring you an updated schedule of events for the fair each day this week.

The St. Charles County County Fair runs through Saturday at  in Wentzville. 

Entry to the fair today is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12. Kids age 5 and under get in for free.

Today is senior citizens day. All adults age 60 and older will get in for $5.

Carnival rides are free with the price of admission to the fair. Grounds close at 11:30 p.m. tonight

The public schedule for opening day is:

  • 10 a.m.-Weight beef steers
  • 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.-Kolb Exhibition Center open
  • 12 p.m.-Poultry judging at the Heinrich Pavilion
  • 3 p.m.-Goat judging at the swine show ring
  • 5 p.m.-Weigh market lambs
  • 5 p.m.-Arcadeland and S&S exotic petting zoo open
  • 6 p.m.-Little Mister and Miss St. Charles County Fair contest in the entertainment tent. Children can be entered in the competition until 10 a.m. Wednesday. Click here for details.
  • 6 p.m.-Beef steer judging at the show barn
  • 6-10 p.m.-Carnival rides, rappelling wall, butterfly house and kids fishing derby open.
  • 7 p.m.-Market rabbit judging at Heinrich Pavilion
  • 7 p.m.-DockDogs competition
  • 7 p.m.-Mini-rod pull
  • 7-7:30, 8-8:30 and 9-9:30 p.m.-Marcos the Juggler at the Stars and Stripes stage
  • 8 p.m.-D Bar D bull riding
  • 8-11 p.m.-Hillbilly Authority in the entertainment tent
  • 8:30 p.m.-Market lamb judging in the show barn
