  • Weather: Widespread haze. Sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Heat index values as high as 106, according to the National Weather Service
  • Heat: There is an excessive heat warning for the upcoming week. Be careful outdoors and drink plenty of water.
  • Traffic: MoDOT will close a section of eastbound Route 94 east of Defiance starting today, weather permitting, as part of a project to rebuild shoulders on the roadway. Crews will close eastbound Route 94 from Walnut Springs Drive to Route F. Drivers can take Defiance Road to eastbound Route F to Route 94 to detour around the closure.
