UPDATE: Water Main Break on West Pearce Repaired

The four-inch water main broke just before 6 p.m. Wednesday night.

A water main break under West Pearce Boulevard  forced police to close the eastbound lane at the intersection with West Allen Street at about 6 p.m. Wednesday night, but a crew from public works made short work of repairs.

Water was bubbling up from a four-inch water main through a hole in the eastbound lane and starting to seep from under the westbound lane before public works crews got to the scene.

City crews fixed the break and backfilled the hole, completing work by 8:30 p.m.
