Lake Saint Louis Decides to Put Half Cent Sales Tax on August Ballot

  • At Tuesday night's public work session, the Lake Saint Louis Board of Aldermen agreed to ask voters for a half-cent capital improvement sales tax on the August ballot. Ward 3's Richard Morris said that he didn't think that people would vote for a new half cent sales tax.

Aldermen to Discuss Annexation/De-Annexation Issues

  • At Wednesday night's public work session, theWentzville Board of Aldermen will discuss the issues of annexation into and de-annexation from the City of Wentzville. The issue arose when the city received a request for de-annexation last November from the owners of four properties in the Meadowbrook Estates subdivision.

Wentzville Grad Named to U.S. World Baseball Classic Squad

  • The World Baseball Classic begins March 2 and when it does, a Wentzville-native will be front and center. Holt High School graduate, and Wentzville-native, Ross Detwiler has been named to the United States' roster for the once-every-four-year tournament. 

New Emergency Communications Tower in Wentzville Could Reach 330 Feet

  • Last week, Wentzville Patch brought you some background information about the new St. Charles County emergency communications system, with its network of 12 new towers, that was designed to bring the county into compliance with FCC mandates. Patch spoke with Jennifer George, director of policy for St. Charles County about some specifics for the towers being placed in the Wentzville area. George corrected a mistake on the the County's website that currently lists three separate locations in the west St. Charles County area: one at Indian Camp Creek Park, one on South Point Prairie Road, and one on Meyer Road in Wentzville.

6-Year-Old Wentzville Boy Seriously Injured in ATV Accident

  • A 6-year-old boy from Wentzville was seriously injured Saturday in an ATV accident. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the boy was driving the ATV on private property near River Oaks Lane in Crawford County. The throttle on the ATV the boy was riding on became stuck and he lost control before being tossed from the vehicle.
