Now available in the Apple app store, the free Patch application for iPhone, giving readers a way to stay connected with their community—and even change over to nearby Patch sites—with ease to check out what’s happening around town.
The app is also available on the iPod Touch (third and fourth generation) and iPad.
The Patch app features include:
- "The Front 5," allowing users to quickly access the most relevant stories of the day
- The weather report and forecast
- Community news, photos and videos
- Events happening near you (just click to add them to your personal calendar)
- Area business listings
The app also makes it easy for readers to interact with Patch by commenting, uploading photos to stories and business listings, and sharing their favorite content on Facebook. There’s even a way to send your thoughts on the app itself to Patch’s tech team.

What is the Favorites feature?
