UPDATE: Where was the Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Missouri?

If you had the winning Powerball numbers, how would you spend the $550 million jackpot?

UPDATE: KSDK has tweeted that the winning Missouri Powerball ticket was sold in Dearborn, Missouri, north of Kansas City, at a Trex Mart.

 

Are you the the lucky Missourian who is several million dollars richer after finding you've got yesterday's winning Powerball numbers? Officials are now saying that the winning tickets were sold in Missouri and Arizona.

The winning numbers are 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 with the Powerball number of 6, according to the Powerball website. 

The Powerball lottery drawing took place Wednesday night at 9:59 p.m. Central time. A live drawing was available on hundreds of TV stations and on YouTube.

Each Powerball ticket cost $2. Players chose five numbers plus a sixth Powerball number. Players matching all six numbers can select an annuitized amount paid out over 29 years or a lump sum payment. For complete details, visit the Powerball website.ABC News reports lottery officials expected to sell more than 105,000 tickets every minute before the drawing. Despite the long odds for the big jackpot, the overall odds of winning a prize are considerably better at 1 in 55.

In an article on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, one St. Louis-area man is quoted as saying, “I’ve lost a lot of money on it. I could just throw it down the toilet, but I can dream just like the rest of them.”

Since the last drawing on Nov. 24, the Powerball jackpot has grown by over $100 million to a record $550 million. The estimated cash payout is $360.2 million. The last set of winning numbers was drawn on Oct. 16.
