'Empty Bowls' Event at Meadows Will Benefit Operation Food Search

The one-of-a-kind bowls will be on sale at the Farmers and Artists Market from 8 a.m. to noon, and at the Clocktower Plaza from noon until 4 p.m.

Operation Food Search's 4th annual “Empty Bowls” Event will be held at The Meadows shopping center in Lake Saint Louis on Sat., June 15.

One-of-a-kind ceramic bowls created by local artists, teachers and students will be on sale at the fundraiser with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Operation Food Search. 

New this year is a canned food drive and a live broadcast by Dave Glover of FM NewsTalk 97.1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

The bowl sales will be at the Farmers & Artists Market from 8 a.m. until noon and in the Clock Tower Plaza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Noted St. Charles ceramist Bob Allen of the Foundry Art Centre will give a live demonstration beginning at 11 a.m. 

The event is free to attend and open to the public.
