Blood Drive

The importance of having an ample supply of blood on hand to help when a natural disaster strikes is critical to hospitals being able to respond to patient care needs. On any given day, an average of 38,000 units of red blood cells are needed for hospital patients in the United States. It is a convenient, easy way for people to give back to their community in emergency situations.

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is sponsoring a blood drive for the American Red Cross on Friday, May 13, noon-3 p.m., at the Professional Office Building 1, 6 Jungermann Circle, HealthWise Center, Suite 117, St. Peters (on the hospital campus).

A single blood donation can help save up to three lives.
