GM Volunteers, Donates $1,500 to Habitat for Humanity

About 40 employees from the plant participated in Habitat for Humanity's Women Build project in St. Peters over a two-day period.

Representatives of Habitat for Humanity gathered at GM Wentzville for a check presentation and to offer thanks to Wentzville employees for their July construction help at a Habitat home in St. Peters.

“You guys rock – you are just awesome!” said Nancy Cope, Director, Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County, as she accepted a check for $1,500 from UAW Local 2250 and GM. “Thank you so much for all you have done!”

Joining her to accept the check for Habitat for Humanity was Lauren Grotegeers, the local chapter’s Resource Development Coordinator.

“It’s important for us to give back to the Wentzville community,” said Nancy Laubenthal, Plant Manager. “We are very proud of our employees who give their time and talent to help great organizations like Habitat for Humanity.”
