Should The City of Wentzville Choose Which Charities Succeed or Fail?

The Suburban Journal reported that the Wentzville-located charity LINC (Love In The Name of Christ) is feeling a financial pinch. Now, it's hard to talk about a charity the same way one would a business, but, unfortunately, the current nationwide economy is affecting everyone.

Mayor Lambi says the city is flush with cash and can afford to help LINC a bit. Alderman Guccione says he feels for ALL charities needing help, but that it's hard to pick only one charity to help with Wentzville citizens' $$.

Who is right? Without question, these governmental officials have big hearts and want the same thing -- charities successfully helping those people that need it most. This is a very touchy political topic. However, it is worth noting that Guccione is quoted as having said he is ready to wash cars or whatever he can to help LINC.
