Services Today for T. Michael McDowell, Wentzville City Administrator
McDowell had previously held positions in city government in Olivette and Creve Coeur.
Wentzville City Administrator T. Michael McDowell died Friday morning. He had served in the position since March of this year.
Visitation was held Sunday evening in Creve Coeur.
Services today are at 10 a.m. at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 808 Mason Road, Creve Coeur, MO.
Mr. McDowell, a 40-year veteran of municipal government, came to Wentzville from the City of Olivette, Mo, where he had served as city manager. Prior to his position in Olivette, Mr. McDowell worked in city leadership positions in Kennesaw, Ga., and other cities in Missouri and Georgia.
He was a Credentialed Local Government Manager by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), held a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degrees from the University of Memphis, and also was an instructor at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
