Parking Ticket in Front of your Own House WTF???

I have been living in Wentzville and in this house I built for over 10 years. I awoke the other day to find a "Parking" ticket on my Windshield? Living on a Cul de Sac I was not aware there is an ordinance depicting what direction you have to park your car. Most of the time my car is in the garage. Where is there a list of Wentzville Ordinaces available to read. I certainly do not want to violate anything else, what a waste of Fuel and a Police Officers Time....
