Write-in votes are welcome. Have your family and friends vote by commenting here. We closed nominations for the poll yesterday, but you can still vote for your favorite, even if it's not in the poll.
I know where Lyon's is. Where is Doozle's?

Jane I like Lyon's too. When my parents would take me to Kathryn Linnemann we would go there afterward.
Donnie Kissell June 13, 2012 at 08:59 pm
how can Lyons not be on the list of best in St. Charles county? If this was St. Peters only, I'd get it, otherwise this is a failure of a poll

Donnie,
The first story that was posted on Monday was a call for nominations. We Patch editors don't decide who should be in the poll -- our readers do. We're happy to take write-in votes, though! Have you thought about posting a link to the story on your Facebook page or Tweeting it to get more write-in votes?

Doozle's is just off 370 & Elm, next door to Reynold's Roadhouse Restaurant. (also one in Florissant)

Fritzs = crack! Can't get enough! Sooo addictive.

If you haven't tried Fritsche's then your vote is unsubstantiated! There is no comparison between the highly overrated custard that so many people think is great, and real homemade ice cream. You have to try it!

Any way to get a poll of best shaved ice? My vote Kona Ice of St Charles County!

Dear Karla. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. I know when we went through something similar withRead More our cat, who had been with my wife for 19 years, it was like we'd been hit by a truck. I didn't expect to be affected as much as I was. Sorry this isn't a doggie memory...we're cat people, but the feeling is the same.
K Jones June 8, 2013 at 06:44 am
Thanks, Kurt - I really appreciate your post. Thankfully, I still have 3 cats and another dog atRead More home to help ease the pain. I agree with what what you said about being hit by a truck. I, too, didn't expect to be affected as much as I was - especially since I knew she was "elderly" for a dog. :)
