It's bound to warm up outside sometime. And when it does, kids — and likely parents, too! — will be more than ready to hit up the outdoors, play under the sun, fly on the swings, build sand castles, slip down the slide ... you get the point. While there are a lot of parks in Port Washington and Saukville, and Ozaukee County for that matter, there are probably specific parks that draw you in for different reasons. So, please dish. What are your favorite parks? Where do the kids most like to go when looking for a playground? A hike through the woods? A little water fun? What about fun activities to play outside, but in your own yard?

Yes, it can get really busy so I stay close, he is still pretty little. I problem I have noticed in the past is that parents use the park (any park really) as a babysitter and they tend to sit outside the play area with their phones. Which is fine when your child is old enough but there have been times when I was there and I have had to help stranded little ones who had explored too far and their parents had no idea. I really want to check out the Newburg Nature Center, was age is that good for?

I havent been to the nature center, but I'd imagine nature/animals/etc. can make kids of walking age smile! What about the water park in Port?

Pirates Cove, I think it is called. We went there a few times last summer and it is great. Not too crowded, zero depth area, slides and diving boards. It is really reasonably priced too. Ahhh, summer!

Right, now I am looking forward to sunshine!! And swimming! Is there an age group that its geared toward, or is it good for toddlers to teens the same?

I would say baby-to the golden years. The pool is huge, there is plenty of room for everyone. There is a large grassy area for sunbathers too.
