Corey Brown Pleads Not Guilty, Trial Date Set

Corey Brown, charged with ten felony counts of child molestation, was arraigned today in Division 7.

Accused child molester Corey L. Brown pleaded not guilty today in Division 7 of the St. Charles County Circuit Court. Trial date was set for May 4, said Brown's attorney, Dennis Chassaniol.

Brown was charged in December 2010 with 10 felony charges of statutory rape, sodomy and child molestation in the case of two Lake Saint Louis children, ages 8 and 9.

In the original police report, Detective Bret Carbray of the Lake Saint Louis Police Department said that Brown had committed "234 counts of Statutory Sodomy 1st, 234 counts of Child Molestation 1st and 2 counts of Statutory Rape 1st." Brown's contact with the older child dated back to 2007. His contact with the younger child dated from July 1, 2010, and included 34 counts of statutory sodomy and 34 counts of child molestation.
