Baby's First Bust or I Don't Know How Those 128 Items Got There

Three adults and a juvenile were arrested March 1 after leaving a Gravois Bluffs store without paying for 128 items concealed in their shopping cart, under a baby in a car seat.  A search turned up 94 items of kids clothing, three toys, three items of men's clothing, four intimate clothing items, six items of women's clothing, nine items of junior clothing, four domestic items, one stationary item and four pairs of shoes for a total of $2,264.81.

Police in Affton arrested two people March 12 who took their domestic dispute to a new level. A boyfriend and girlfriend had gotten into a knife fight.

A Richmond Heights woman, apparently fed up with teenage irresponsibility, asked police on Feb. 28 to prosecute her 15-year-old son after he used her credit card to make purchases.

Nobody Would Ever Look There

On March 10 an Arnold resident reported that someone stole his 2007 Kia Rio. The car was unlocked and the keys were in the vehicle. The police report said the owner removes the keys from the ignition, but leaves them in the center console.

Obviously Not Everyday Jewelry

A homeowner on Debra Kay Lane on March 17 finally got around to reporting a theft to police in Affton. A housekeeper is being blamed for stealing $19,600 in jewelry and coins from the residence. The problem? The theft occurred "several years ago."

Light Work in Town and Country

It was just after dark at 7:30 p.m. March 7 when a thief stole 10 landscape lights from a home on Clayton Road. The lights were valued at $3,000.

Drugs, a Bomb and Lingerie

Two people were arrested on stealing and drug charges March 2 at a department store at Gravois Bluffs when they left without paying for $563 worth of miscellaneous items. One of the suspects was caught on the parking lot. A search uncovered marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, a homemade bomb -- and $175 worth of stolen lingerie.
