Feb. 24 Hearing for Corey Brown Canceled, Arraignment Rescheduled for March 9

Case against alleged child molester moved to Division 7.

Corey Lane Brown, who was charged in December with ten felony charges of statutory rape, sodomy and child molestation in the case of two Lake Saint Louis children, ages 8 and 9, will be arraigned on March 9, 2011 at the St. Charles County Courthouse.

The arraignment was originally scheduled for Feb. 24. According to Carolyn Stevens, Division 7 clerk, an indictment was filed and the case was moved to Division 7 under Judge Daniel Pelikan.

In the original police report, Detective Bret Carbray said that Brown had committed "234 counts of Statutory Sodomy 1st, 234 counts of Child Molestation 1st and 2 counts of Statutory Rape 1st." Brown's contact with the older child dated back to 2007. His contact with the younger child dated from July 1, 2010, and included 34 counts of statutory sodomy and 34 counts of child molestation.
