Fire Chief Says High Winds Pushed Camden Fire Over the Firewalls
Sixteen units were destroyed in the Wednesday afternoon blaze in Lake Saint Louis.
Wentzville Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Robb Watkins explained to reporters Wednesday that 23-mph winds were the cause of fire jumping across the firewalls and spreading to adjacent units at the Camden Cedar Lakes apartment complex.
