Fire Slows Traffic on Westbound I-70

Emergency vehicles responded to the trailer fire just west of exit 212 between Lake Saint Louis and Wentzville.

Traffic came to a standstill for a while on westbound I-70 today, after a trailer being pulled by a dump truck caught on fire around 1 p.m. Thursday, said Michael Crace of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Communications Department.

Both the Highway Patrol and Lake Saint Louis police responded to the scene for traffic control as firefighters put out the blaze.

The scene was being cleared by 1:45 p.m.
