Foristell Father Indicted on Charge of Hitting Son With Baseball Bat

Mark Allen Calloni was on probation for assaulting the same child in 2005.

A St. Charles County grand jury indicted a Foristell man on charges that he hit his son in the head with a baseball bat.

Mark Allen Calloni, 46, of the 100 block of South Main Street in Foristell, was indicted Friday for endangering the welfare of a child.

Foristell police said Calloni hit his son in the head and body with a wooden bat. When the boy tried to get away, Calloni tackled him and pinned him to the ground, police said.

Calloni was on probation in Warren County for assaulting and restraining the same child in 2005.

Calloni is being held in St. Charles County jail in lieu of a $100,000, cash-only bond.
