Wentzville Teen Charged With Selling Drugs From His Home

St. Charles County Drug Task Force officials said Cane Ridgway sold heroin and marijuana to an undercover officer at his Wentzville home.

A Wentzville teen is accused of selling drugs from his home, which is less than 2,000 feet from Holt High School.

Cane Ridgway, 18, of the 500 block of Kent Drive in Wentzville, was charged Thursday with distributing a controlled substance. Police said he chose his home as the transaction location.

A St. Charles County Drug Task Force member said Ridgway sold an undercover officer heroin for $40 and about 35 grams of marijuana for about $40 on April 16.

According to a court documents, officers discovered more controlled substances and additional evidence that Ridgway is involved in day-to-day sale of heroin during a search of his home.

Ridgway was being held Friday by St. Charles County Corrections. Bond was set at $35,000, cash only.

Editor's note: Drug Task Force members identified Ridgway as a Holt High School student. The Wentzville School District said he is not a student at Holt, but did not reply when asked if he is a former student.
