Homeless Man Stole Ground Beef From Wentzville Community Club, Police Say

The man ate an ice cream drumstick and took two five-pound tubes of frozen ground beef, according to court documents.

A homeless man broke into the building and stole food Friday, Wentzville Police said.

Jeffrey Graham, 52, was charged Saturday with second-degree burglary.

said Graham broke into the building at 500 West Main St. in and ate an ice cream drumstick. He left with two five-pound tubes of frozen ground beef. The break-in was captured on the club’s video surveillance system.

The Wentzville Community Club is a not-for-profit group that aids charities and raises money by organizing flea markets, farmers markets and Bingo games.

Police said when Graham was arrested, he was wearing the same clothes as in the burglary.

Bond was set at $5,000.
