UPDATE: I-70 Westbound Shut Down West of Lake Saint Louis Boulevard After Fatal Crash

Fox2 News reported that the highway was closed due to a fatal car crash.

UPDATE: Fox2 News reported that the crash that blocked westbound lanes of I-70 Friday for an hour after 7 p.m. involved a fatality.

Original Story:

A car fire on westbound Interstate 70 between the Lake Saint Louis Boulevard exit and the Route A exit has shut down all the westbound lanes.

Traffic was backed up to Bryan Road at about 7:30 p.m.

Lake Saint Louis police were on the scene to provide assistance to the Missouri Highway Patrol.
