Lake Saint Louis Man Seriously Injured in Accident Near Lake Saint Louis Boulevard

Donald Thomason traveled off the right side of the Interstate 64 across a private drive and struck a utility pole before suffering serious injuries, authorities say.

A 53-year-old man from Lake Saint Louis was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries he suffered from a single-car accident on Thursday afternoon.

Donald Thomason was driving just after 4 p.m. eastbound on Hwy 40, just east of Lake Saint Louis Boulevard, when he travelled off the right side of the road, across a private drive and struck a utility pole. 

Thomason was immediately taken to Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur by a St. Charles County ambulance. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, he was wearing a safety device.

Thomason's car, a 1995 GMC Safari, had extensive damage.
