Lake Saint Louis Man Seriously Injured in Crash Near GM Plant

The accident occurred early Thursday.

Two people were seriously injured Thursday morning in a crash on Highway A, near the entrance to the in Wentzville.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident occurred at 5:55 a.m.

A 1988 Ford F150, driven by Kenneth R. Weber, 23, Lake Saint Louis, was attempting to make a left turn off Highway A into the General Motors facility when he pulled into the path of another car.

The front of a 2009 Ford Escape, driven by Melinda D. Shelby, 47, Troy, struck the passenger side of Weber's F150. Weber was ejected from his vehicle.

Both drivers sustained serious injuries and were taken to by St. Charles County Ambulance.

Weber was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.

Traffic around the plant was tied up for hours, as KMOV reported yesterday.
