Lake Saint Louis Police Blotter: Kayak Thieves Caught in the Act

April 25

  • At 11:32 a.m., a driver was arrested for driving while revoked on Interstate 64.
  • An officer responded to a residence in the 200 block of Rue Grand Drive at 2:33 p.m. for a report of property damage to a vehicle.
  • At 4:13 p.m., shoplifting was reported at . A 34-year-old female was issued a summons.
  • At 11:02 p.m., an accident was reported on the South Outer Road.
  • An officer responded to South Outer Road near the Water District at 11:27 p.m. in reference to a motor vehicle off the roadway. The driver was arrested for DWI.

April 26

  • At 12:46 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Cedar Point Place after a 911 call of a domestic incident in progress. The male subject was attempting to leave the area, and officers stopped him and charged hiim with DWI, Driving While Suspended and Domestic Assault 3rd degree. The female subject was also charged with domestic assault.
  • An officer reported to the to take custody of a male subject for an outstanding warrant from Lake Saint Louis at 3:23 a.m.
  • An accident was reported at 7:05 a.m. on Lake Saint Louis Boulevard. No injuries were reported.
  • An officer responded to 1000 Lake Saint Louis Boulevard at 9:22 a.m. for a report of fraudulent use of a credit card and stealing.
  • At 5:01 p.m., an officer responded to the North Commuter Lot off of West Terra Lane in Lake Saint Louis for a report of a vehicle broken into and damaged.
  • At 8:24 p.m., an officer responded to the police department lobby in reference to a stolen purse. Case is still under investigation.
  • An officer responded to westbound I-70 for a vehicle fire at 11:19 p.m. The vehicle was unoccupied. The fire was extinguished by the fire department and was towed from the highway.

April 27

  • At 2:04 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign at Lake Saint Louis Boulevard and Orf Road. A 34-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
  • At 7:07 a.m., a found wallet was brought to the police department.
  • At 11:31 a.m., an assault was reported on Ridgeway Drive near Hwy. N.
  • At 11:58 a.m., an officer investigated a theft from a motor vehicle while parked at . Registration stickers were stolen from the vehicle.
  • An accident was reported at 5:18 p.m. on Lake Saint Louis Boulevard.

  • A contempt of court/failure to appear was served on Main Street in O'Fallon.

  • An officer made a traffic stop at 12:08 a.m. on Veteran's Memorial Parkway near Lake Saint Louis Boulevard. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
  • An officer responded to I-70 eastbound at mile marker 213 to assist another officer with a possibly intoxicated driver at 1:03 a.m.
  • At 2:11 a.m., an officer investigated a vehicle crash on Lake Saint Louis Boulevard at Lakewood Marina. A 25-year-old male was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and careless and imprudent driving.
  • A 22-year-old male was arrested for DWI and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 4:37 a.m. on westbound I-64 near Prospect Road. The driver's blood-alcohol content was tested at .128 percent.
  • Jewelry was reported missing on Key Harbour Drive at 11:30, but it was later found.
  • An accident was reported at 12:20 p.m. on Lake Saint Louis Boulevard.
  • An officer was dispatched at 2:41 p.m. to Locksley Manor Drive for a report of a stolen license plate.
  • An officer responded to Gourdon Court at 2:30 to meet with a subject who advised the officer that someone was harassing them. No crime was reported.
  • At 4:04 p.m., an officer responded to the station to speak with a subject about fraudulent use of a credit card.
  • AT 10:43 p.m., an officer conducting stationary radar enforcement on westbound I-64 near Hwy. N. observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle's speed was measured at 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. The driver was arrested for multiple traffic charges and possession of marijuana.

May 1

  • At 12:36 a.m., an officer picked up a prisoner at St. Louis County Police Department.
  • At 1:40, an officer was dispatched to the O'Fallon Police Department for a prisoner pickup.
  • At 9:49 a.m., an officer took a delayed report of a camera stolen from a vehicle on Lodge Court.
  • An officer responded to Harbor Bend Court at 11:20 a.m. for a report of an auto accident. A vehicle had left the scene.
  • A missing wallet was reported at 12:51 p.m. on Salisbury Court.
  • A vehicle was stopped at 2:29 p.m. on I-64 for expired plates. The driver was arrested for outstanding warrants.
  • An officer was dispatched to Normandy Drive at 10:47 p.m. Upon arrival, the officer contacted the subject, who stated that he had caught two subjects in the process of trying to steal his and his neighbor's kayaks from their backyard docks.
