Lake Saint Louis Police Blotter: Unfounded Bomb Threat, Damage to Coin-Operated Vacuum

Wednesday, July 31 

  • At 8:54 a.m., an officer responded to a gas station in the 1000 block of Lake Saint Louis Boulevard for a report of property damage. An unknown person damaged the pay vacuum by knocking out the panel where the coin slot was located. However, there was no evident attempt to steal the money box from inside the vacuum. Case is closed pending leads or suspects.
  • An officer responded to the O'Fallon Police Department at 10:54 a.m. and took custody of a 42-year-old male with an outstanding Lake Saint Louis warrant.
  • At 4:56 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hawk Ridge Trail and Ronald Reagan Drive. A 34-year-old male was arrested for driving on a revoked driver's license.
  • Officers conducting a traffic stop on Highway A at 9:03 for an equipment violation arrested a 20-year-old female driver on an outstanding warrant.
  • At 11:15 p.m., a 43-year-old male was arrested on Lake Saint Louis Boulevard for an active warrant.
Thursday, August 1
  • An officer responded to the area of Lake Saint Louis Boulevard and Technology Drive at 8:446 a.m. in reference to a non-injury two-car motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
  • At 2:25 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle with expired license plates. The 49-year-old male driver was placed under arrest for an active warrant.
  • At 2:27 p.m., an officer responded to the 50th block of Freymuth in reference to a burglary. Electronic equipment had been stolen.
  • At 7:09 p.m., a stolen license plate was reported on Paris Place.
  • An officer was contacted at 12:49 by the victim of an internet scam. After making contact with the suspect, the suspect called back to the police dispatch and became belligerent, claiming that he had placed a bomb in the police department. A search was conducted and the threat was determined to be unfounded. The suspect was later determined to be calling from outside the U.S., and the matter was referred to the FBI.
