The deputy said as he talked to another person, Charleville began banging his head on the Plexiglass partition inside the patrol car.

The deputy put a seat belt on Charleville and told him to put his feet outside the car so he could apply leg restraints. Charleville swung his feet out and kicked the officer in the chest, according to the report.

Charleville tried to head butt the deputy, but another deputy put his hands on his chest to stop Charleville, according to court documents. Charleville then tried several times to bite the second deputy’s hand, the deputy reported.

The first deputy said he warned Charleville he would pepper-spray him if he did not stop fighting. When Charleville continued trying to bite the second deputy, the first deputy asked him to let go of Charleville. When he did, Charleville kicked the first deputy in the stomach.

The deputy said he pepper-sprayed Charleville in both eyes and the upper chest for one second. They then were able to get the leg restraints on.

The deputy said Charleville spit many times and blew his nose on the patrol car’s back seat.

Charleville is being held in St. Charles County jail.
