The three awoke to find two men, one holding a pistol. The two men went to a man, who awoke. The two unknown men told him to give him the money he made from selling his car. The victim told police he threw his wallet under the couch without the two men seeing it. However, $40 fell out of his pocket, and the two men took it.

When he refused to give them the rest of the money, one man hit him in the head with the handgun.

The men also hit the second man and the woman with the gun.

After hitting the woman, the two men told her to take off her clothes and kneel in the corner. One man then raped her, police said.

Police interviewed French. According to police, after changing his story once, French told police he had called a man named Lucky to buy heroin and arranged to meet him at Hawk’s Nest Liquor.

When he met the heroin dealer, the man pulled a gun and asked where he could find the first victim, the man who had sold his car. He then led them to the home, French told police.

French was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree robbery and two counts of first degree attempted robbery. Bond was set at $50,000 cash.
