Updated: One Dead in Double Shooting in Wentzville
Wentzville police, along with SWAT teams, responded to a shooting in a subdivision off of Wentzville Parkway Saturday afternoon.
A woman is dead and a juvenile is in critical condition follwing a double-shooting in Wentzville Saturday afternoon that put one subdivision on lockdown.
Police say the juvenile in critical condition called 911 and was shortly thereafter found bleeding in a driveway in the 200 block of Niagra Drive. Police removed him from the driveway and transported him to a nearby highway.
A SWAT team then searched the house and found an adult female dead from a gunshot in the home.

Names and ages of the victims are still unknown.
Wentzville Mayor Nick Guccione said the incident involved a mother and her son. Police have not confirmed a relationship at this point.

Wentzville Patch originally reported that a juvenile was dead and another was in critical condition.
Police and emergency crews responded to Niagra Drive in Wentzville, a street located near the Wentzville Parkway and Grand Canyon Drive intersection, for the report of a situation involving possible hostages.
Police say the incident never escalated to that of a hostage situation. And no bomb threat was made despite bomb squad crews being called in.
Police said the situation ended shortly after 5 p.m.
