"We have a good, tight process for hiring," Lake Saint Louis Police Chief Michael Force said. "It gives us people who are right for this community. We interviewed five candidates for the positions, and it was a difficult choice, but these two officers bring valuable experience to their jobs here."

The ceremony was attended by the officers' families and friends and by several Lake Saint Louis police officers. After the swearing-in, the new officers were congratulated by Mayor Mike Potter, the board of aldermen and city staff.
