Pedestrian Crossing I-70 Struck By Car

Joseph K. Kendagor of Des Peres was hospitalized with serious injuries after he tried crossing I-70 near Wentzville Parkway, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling east on Interstate 70 in St. Charles county early Monday morning. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred at 3:30 a.m. and the victim was transported with serious injuries to a Creve Coeur hospital.

27-year-old Joseph K. Kendagor, from Des Peres, tried crossing the highway at the 207 mile marker near Wentzville Parkway, according to the highway patrol report, and was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt traveling east. 

Kendagor received serious injuries in the incident, according to the highway patrol report, and was transported by St. Charles County ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur. 

The car was driven from the scene, with minor damage, by 53-year-old Alvin R. Muchow of Montgomery City, according to the State Highway Patrol report. The report indicates Muchow was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

A KMOV article reported eastbound lanes on I-70 were temporarily closed Monday morning while crews cleared the scene, but some traffic was getting through by 5 a.m.
