Police: Thief Breaks Into Storage Lockers in Lake Saint Louis

The following information was supplied by the Lake Saint Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary

  • Lake Saint Louis Police responded to Sherlock Storage at 11120 Veteran's Memorial Parkway in reference to five storage units being broken into on March 15. The metal latches that assist with locking each storage unit had been cut by an unknown tool. After the initial investigation, it was determined that some property was missing from the damaged units.

Stealing

  • Lake St. Louis Police Officers responded to Fountain Grass Drive on March 15 for a report of two females who were caught shoplifting. The 17-year-old females were released on summons at the scene.
  • On March 17 a Lake St. Louis Police Officer responded to the area of Cedar Bluff Drive for a report of a suspect who fled without paying his cab fare. A 26-year-old male suspect was identified and the investigation is on-going.

DWI

  • A Lake St. Louis Police Officer was working a sobriety checkpoint just after midnight on March 16, as part of the St. Charles County Multi-Jurisdictional DWI Task Force, on westbound Highway N at Interstate 64. The Officer arrested a 51-year-old male for driving while intoxicated.
