Teen Found Dead in New Melle House Fire
Cause of the fire is still under investigation.
A teenage girl was found dead in her bed by New Melle firefighters battling a blaze that destoyed a home on the 1500 block of Meinershagen Road Saturday afternoon.
The girl is being identified by Fox 2 News as 19-year-old Moria Ryan, who was adopted by her family at 6 weeks old after being the victim of severe child abuse as an infant.
The fire started shortly after noon, according to KSDK. The home is located about seven miles southwest of . Four more people were in the home at the time of the fire, KSDK reported, and escaped without serious injury.
