Three Car Accident Leaves Wentzville Man Injured

The accident was Tuesday on Route N.

A three-car accident Tuesday sent a man to the hospital.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 4:25 p.m. on Route N east of Falling Leaf Drive.

A 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Marcus D. Williams, 18, Foristell, and a 1997 Ford Escort driven by Michael D. Shrum, 32, Wentzville, were stopped due to traffic ahead.

The driver of a 1999 Mercury Tracer, Frederick Z. Banks, 59, Wentzville, failed to notice the stopped cars and struck the rear of the Escort. The Escort then struck the Cavalier.

Shrum sustained minor injuries. He was taken to by St. Charles County Ambulance.

All three drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
