It Makes One Wonder What He Was Planning on Shaving

A man recently stole at least 250 razor blade packages valued at $4,100 from three St. Charles County Walmart stores, police said. The packages contained at least 838 razor blades. The man was finally arrested in the Lake Saint Louis Walmart when he attempted to steal even more razor blades.

St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives found 89 marijuana plants growing in a home in the Defiance area. A 36-year-old man was charged with producing a controlled substance, possessing marijuana and possessing drug-related items. Drug Task Force detectives said they were investigating the man and served a search warrant on his home Sept. 4. They found 89 marijuana plants in his basement, five grow lights and two air filters used to cultivate the plants, according to a task force report. Deputies contacted the grower on his cell phone Sept. 5. He told them he would not turn himself in, but was going back to Colorado, according to the report. The man has a crime history in Kansas and Colorado, according to detectives.

Ranting and Raving While Intoxicated

A 42-year-old Kirkwood man was arrested and charged in municipal court with disorderly conduct  on Sept. 7 in the 10000 block of Manchester Road. Employees of a nearby business called Warson Woods police when the man was observed beating on his vehicle and screaming profanities and racial epithets in the parking lot. The man was intoxicated and apparently upset because he had been involved in an accident in which the vehicle that struck his fled the scene in the city of Glendale several hours earlier.

Never Confront a Man Carrying a Machete

A man said he and his girlfriend were travelling west on Highway 30 near  in Cedar Hill when  a motorist was following too closely. The man pulled into a gas station and the motorist followed. The man said he then approached the male motorist and inquired about his driving. He told a sheriff's deputy the motorist then displayed a machete so the man returned to his vehicle. The machete motorist then drove away, nearly striking the original driver as he passed by. The man said he kicked the vehicle as it passed,  at which time the motorist exited his vehicle carrying the machete. The two men they got into an argument, after which the man with the machete re-entered his vehicle and drove away. 

Woman Drowns Stolen Cell Phone When She Realizes It is Being Tracked

A female customer at Doctor John's, 645 Gravois Road, Fenton stole an employee's cell phone Sept. 8 from a store counter.  The phone was tracked to a residence in Jefferson County using a GPS app.  The woman admitted to stealing the phone and then throwing it into a lake after she realized it was being tracked.  She was issued a summons. 

The Pink Backpack Liquor Thief

A woman concealed four bottles of Kahlua liquor in her pink backpack Sept. 2 at Shop N' Save, 45 Gravois Bluffs Plaza Drive, and left the store without paying. She was issued a summons.

Dedicated to Success, but not 'Permitted' to Succeed

Police in Glendale responded to a complaint of door-to-door solicitors in the area of Glenvista Place and Chain Ridge Road. The solicitors were peddling magazine sales for Dedicated to Success and were advised to cease until a proper permit was obtained.

Man With 20 Arrest Warrants and Suspended Driver's License Has Car Crash; Is Arrested Again

Officers on patrol located a one vehicle accident near the intersection of Leffingwell and Holmes avenues. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail. Routine computer checks on the driver revealed he had a suspended driver’s license through the State of Missouri. He also had at least 20 outstanding warrants through three St. Louis area police departments. He was arrested and held for transfer to those agencies.
