Wentzville Family Injured in I-70 Crash

The crash occurred when the tractor-trailer driver attempted to change lanes.

Four people in a Wentzville family traveling on eastbound I-70 last night suffered injuries in a crash with a tractor-trailer.

A 2003 Chevy Impala driven by Reta L. Baker, 48, of Wentzville, was struck when a 2001 Kenworth driven by Tony B. Jones, 46, of De Graff, Ohio attempted to change lanes. 

The Impala traveled off the roadway and struck a MoDOT sign, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Two passengers in the car, Brittany N. Baker, 19, and Joshua A. Baker, 12, sustained moderate injuries and were transported to SSM St. Joseph West Hospital. The driver and another passenger, Kevin A. Baker, 47, sustained minor injuries and were also transported to St. Joseph West.

Both drivers and all the occupants of the Impala were wearing safety devices at the time of the accident.
