Wentzville Man Injured in Chain Reaction Crash

The three-car chain-reaction crash happened on I-70 west of Hwy. K.

A three-car accident in rush-hour traffic on I-70 Monday morning sent a Wentzville man to the hospital with moderate injuries.

A 2012 Dodge Avenger driven by Addie P. Arrowood, 47, of Wentzville, and a 1999 GMC Suburban driven by Daniel V. Leach, 21, of Warrenton, were stopped for congested traffic on eastbound I-70 around 8 a.m. Monday.

A 2013 Nissan Armada driven by Ryan A. Richter, 43, of Lake Saint Louis failed to yield and struck the rear of the Dodge, which then struck the rear of the Suburban.

Arrowood sustained moderate injuries and was transported to St. Luke's Hospital. The other drivers were not injured.

All the drivers were wearing safety devices, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
