Two cars collided early Friday morning in St. Charles County.

A Festus man was injured after colliding with a Wentzville man early Friday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kevin Skiles, 54, of Festus, was attempting to make a left turn onto a private drive from Highway A just 1.1 miles north of Interstate 70 in St. Charles County. The second car, a 2008 Cadillac CTS, driven by 59-year-old Wentzville resident Alan Dyer, made a left turn from the private drive onto Highway A and the two vehicles collided.

The crash took place at about 3:40 a.m. on Friday and both drivers were wearing safety devices.

Dyer was unharmed in the crash and was able to drive his vehicle from the scene. Skiles was taken to St. Joseph's in Lake Saint Louis with moderate injuries.
